Management Committee Meeting; Miranda's last meeting and Bailey's first . A letter of resignation was received from Vice President and Greens Committee member Vaughan Hales, who is relocating to Palmerston North with his family. Our sincere thanks to Vaughan for his time and efforts within the Management Committee. Most notably, Vaughan over saw the implementation of the Card machine, and was recently involved with the updated water supply project. Amongst other matters discussed, was the replacement of the Green Keepers Mule four wheeler. The Club received a $17000 grant from Pub Charity, towards the replacement, and the old machine has been sold off Our sincere thanks to the on going support of Pub Charity. Carts. Two of the original Scanpower carts are to be replaced this year. Options and pricing are being investigated.. On arrival, the Management Committee will tender the sale of the two older carts. (Watch this space) Insurance. Yes I know we all hate the word, but it is a necessary evil. Our annual account has been received which for members information is just on $42k. (9k is Earthquake Levy). As part of the task now days we have to get a two yearly valuation on the replacement cost of the Clubhouse. Our first valuation was like for like ie a two level Clubhouse, and the second being a single level replacement with the same square footage as the current downstairs total area. There is literally a million dollar difference. We are awaiting information on the difference if any this would make to our insurance cost. Our best wishes to the Dannevirke High School for a successful fund raiser on Saturday. Too all our teams traveling for Pennants this Sunday, good luck. Likewise to the group of members heading to New Plymouth with sponsor Donald Speedy for the North Island LVA event, Monday through Wednesday. Best wishes. Good Golfing👍 Bryan Burt Club Scribe
